I just got back from the reservoir where the owls have come back to nest. I will try to get to the heron rookery and see how the nests are doing in the wind we have had.. I will keep you posted..

Home Safe

I got home last night and proceeded to rest. I am now awake and want to say, I had a fantastic time with my daughter and her little Chita.. I need to get going so hope you have a great day..

Last couple of hours in Alameda

I am getting ready to leave and enjoying Mara and Annika for the next little while.. I will be smiling a lot thinking about my daughters beautiful family on the way home.







This is a rare moment of sadness, she is a happy baby.. I do smile when I see her.

fun with Chita

The drive here was a very nice drive. I picked up a couple of hitchhikers in Grants Pass and we took the drive on 1o1 to Oakland. I dropped them off in San Rafael so they could walk across the Golden Gate bridge. I then proceded to my daughters house in Alameda. We have been going ever since.

This is a shot of a river that was so clear I had to take a shot of the rocks on the bottom. We saw a lot of the coast and with the clear weather it was great.

I have been so happy to visit and enjoy my daughter and granddaughter these last few days. We went on many adventures and saw many wonderful things. We went to Marsh Creek near Mt Diablo and did a bird count. We saw Kites, Red Tailed Hawks, Kestrels and many many more birds, the tour was throught East Bay Parks and Recreation. Great people and it was attended by about a dozen people mostly from around the bay area.

On Saturday we went to the Coyote Hills Wildlife Refuge.. I got to listen to a very nice man who was giving a class on floral photography.. We then went out to photgraph some flowers.. Another great trip..


After we got back we took a walk to Crab Cove and enjoyed all there was to see..
